Threadless or CafePress are both good.

Great sites.. but can I expect to pay much tax for orders outside the EU?

I posted this on another thread in this forum but i'll post it again as the same question was asked.

Everything brought into the country from outside the EU is liable for duty and vat. The amount is (purchase price + shipping cost) + duty (anything from 0 to 13.5% depending on the item) + VAT of 21% on all of this. There is also a handling charge levied by the courier company/An Post. This charge can vary from €5 to €15.

It is random wether you get charged or not. Only so many parcels can be inspected. Anecdotal evidence would suggest that certain couriers tend to attract duty and vat more than others. UPS are particularly bad. Deliveries via An Post are usually quite good at avoiding charges.

Try play.com, delivery free (uk based I think). Decent enough range. Change price to euro using logo to l.h.s. of page. Never had a problem with them, each item ships seperately.

Don't know about Europe, but www.sackwear.com have a nice little selection. Based in the US but I've not been charged VAT yet.

Thanks again everybody. Play.com is great however it's not in the EU, but some island off the coast of France. I'll look about and if I cant find something i'll eat my shirt. :)

while play.com is not in the EU they ship each item ordered seperately. So unless a shirt is over €22 duty and vat is not a problem. I have ordered individual items from them that have cost more and have never been caught for duty and vat. It probably helps that play.com dont put the price on the outside of the package and customs wont even bother with it if its just a tshirt.

I'm I right in thinking anything imported into the EU that has a total value (including shipping) under 22 Euro is exempt from additional charges?
