Fractured Ankle

Hi Does anyone know how long a multiple fracture to the ankle takes to heal. I broke it in 3 places and have had pins & a plate inserted. I have been in a cast for weeks and will be in it for another 2, does anyone know what happens next - do they replace it with another plaster, ?? Any help/advice would be great .

talk to your surgeon - depends on the fracture, the bones involved, the degree of separation and many other factors......
