Digital photo frame coming up in Lidl

First of all apologies if this has already been covered - I'm new to this thread.

I noticed that Lidl have a digital photoframe coming up next week & I was just thinking that it would make a nice Christmas present for my mother as the house is strewn with pictures of her grandson & there's a second on the way.....so I don't know where they're all going to go. So this would be ideal for her.

Now I've never had one of these & I need to do some research & I'm just wondering if someone here could help me with some basics.

Do they need to be hooked up to a pc constantly or are they independent?
How do I load the photos on to them? What size memory is available or should I be looking at this? Any other key features I need to think about? I presume they are mains operated, as opposed to battery powered?!?!?

Does this one look like good value or is it possible to get better value out there?

Thanks for any help or advice

There isn't much information on the web page, but these generally come with a power supply and have a slot for an SD card that you load the photos on for display.
You will need to crop all the photos to fit the aspect ratio of the screen in the frame. As for value, again, there's not much information there, but you don't usually see them for less than E 100.

I got a present of one of these from work last year and it's sat in the bottom of my drawer ever since. That one could play MP3s!! Why on earth anyone would want a picture frame that could play music is beyond me
