Was told yesterday that there was a Shop in Limerick starting to sell airsoft
and the bloke running it was getting a big shipment in.

When I asked where it was they told me Foxs Bow off William street and when
I heard the address/description of the shop it did not sound good.

Its one of those shops that sells healing crystals/Tarrot Cards, Bongs, incense etc
where the kiddies tend to flock to to get their nose pierced etc.
(It would remind you of Asha in St Stephens green shopping centre in Dublin)

Have not been able to go into town yet to look as will hopefully be in Dublin Saturday,
and the following Saturday will be shotgun shopping.

What is your source on this? Is it simply some idle chatter? What kind of kit?

Not to get at you Bullets but to be honest, as much as it pains me to see morons selling this stuff to other morons, you cant be sure of any of the details which means it may or may not be related to what we do. As such its not entirely appropriate to expound on something like this ... especially considering that this is a public forum and random stories about people being irresponsible will attract far more attention than ones about people discussing how best ot implement the safety mesaures and to ensure that they abide by the law (which makes up the bulk of posts).

I Was only told by someone at work so I dont have any cold
    hard facts yet.

As soon as manage to make a visit to the place
I will see what they have, see what they know about the things,
    and see what makes/prices.

I got a day booked off next week to will try get into town then to
    check the place out.

My first real introduction to airsoft was at one of those Waterford shops. Payed way too much for a piece of junk springer which can't shoot straight. I want my €55 back!

I think I know the shop your talking about fuzzy goes by the name of "Funk It". Ya I also bought my first aeg there. Was €65 and after about 200rounds put through it the trigger jammed.

We used to have it in Bray too, was called "Funked Up". Pointless little shop, made no money and now its a paint shop.

Was great to see that place closed down before they could jump on the clone bandwagon too.

They sold springers about 4 or 5 years ago, some technicality/loophole legalised it for about 2 weeks...was quickly changed!

Yeah re: the Clonmel shop, they have some crap there but I spotted a couple of Galaxys today. mp5 k for 145.00 and a 5k pdw for 175.00 euro. FFS thats a ridiculous price for either one.

just in funk it about 40 mins ago (yeah i ran really fast ok? ;) ) . CYMA (coughwouldntpisson) AUG €180
Compared to a US site i look on: Cyma AUG - Approximate Velocity: 210 FPS
Stock battery 7.2V 600 mAh NiCad / No battery upgrade available
    True Edge Sale Price:$49.99

Fair enough its a sale price but even if that was 50% off its still so cheap youd spend it on petrol to get to HRTA. These guys (mmmmmad, funk it) must be putting a 300% increase on these markers. Shame...for shame....SHAAAAAAME!

I have been in the Limerick shop.
The guns IMO wouldnt be worth buying. There were 3 AEGs (A Double Eagle M4 €150!!!, a Double Eagle Sig552 €150 and a CYMA AK47 €99(The only one I'd even consider, but could actually get cheaper from an Irish online store). Other than that there was a few springers(shotgun, uzi, and pistols).

Unlike DW2(the physical one, which seems to be getting more and more AEGs, GBBs and equipment) I get the impression this store is jumping on the proverbial bandwagon, thats just the impression I got, could well be wrong.

In fairness to the guy in charge though, they did have the guns secured and also had signs saying no sales to under 18s, so at least theres that much.

    (...) a Double Eagle Sig552 €150

Well, considering the TM is about same delivered, from eHobby...

Good to see... if they do follow through, of course.
