So where do you build your models?

People build their models in all sorts of places. Wether its radio control or static, plastic or wooden.
Most of us started on the kitchen table, then we start to build up the bits and pieces we use to make them.
Ive seen guys who have a spot to make them in the garage, the garden shed, a spare room. Ive seen a guy (in a book) who built wooden ships out of a small purpose made box, cos he was a submariner and didnt have a lot of space, and amazings ships they were too!
Im one of the lucky ones. I have a purpose built work shop at the end of my garage. It wasnt an after though, like, ohh.. i could screen off a section of my garage and build models there. When I built the garage, it was designed into it. Its fitted out exactly how I want, with plenty of storage area. I can built static or rc models there. Work on more than one project at a time etc. Spill paint on the floor and not worry...
So... where do you build yours?
    Heres mine..

Nice set up Doktor. I usually have to use the kitchen table when building statics ehich is annoying cuz I have to clear it at the end of every evening. For my RC I am usually out in the garage. Nothing very exciting from me :)

I am in the box room for the building, the wife always refers to it as my room. I have my PC gear in there (Which she uses when working from home),my guitars and my model building desk (Old computer desk) Ihave a couple of things for storage like a stanly tower type box with slide out drawers and also a caddy type thing on wheels with slide out drawers, also use the top of that with a cardboard box on it for painting. Also in the room is the build in wardrobes which have all the unbuilt kits stored plus another plastic storageboxfull of bits. Nice and cosy. Big problem will be come January when the 'Stork' comes visiting for the first time, I think all painting will have to move outside to shed, which will not be comfortable as its wooden with no insulation or heating!

At the moment all my work goes on.... Kitchen table, Kitchen counter, Computer desk, Bedroom desk and various floors around the house.

Lucky for me, we are getting a new fairly big shed mostly for me to have a "workshop" area for all my stuff. And it will be insulated. And it will have a heater:D
    Cant wait for it

Rather similar here. 'cept it also gets into my work too!
Someday somebody will say about me "he's over there somewhere under that pile of model stuff ...." :p

Hey Flunked ... you must have really taken over the house with your model stuff if they have agreed to get you your very own shed/workshop :D

Nice space. Apperntly mine shall be similar size to that. made out of metal and a home job insulated,
Is it a crime to prefer a wooden shed... seems... cosy'er?

I forgot to mention that my stuff has made it a few times to the top of the dryer out in the utility shed and storing stuff on teh freezer beside.
    I am a messy person ;/

Kitchen table on a board for now, but we are moving to the Hague, so with hope there will be a spare room/office/creative space there for me

Love the gnome, and the smouldering fag in the first set, can of beer or an auld dirty coffee cup would complete the scene:D
