Astec Alarm Engineer Code

    I've done a lot of searching and reading and while the subject is touched on I can't find anything concrete - moved into house a year ago, Astec Alarm provided as standard - one year on 'Code 77 Contact Engineer' flashing up. Surprise surprise when rang Engineer informed that alarm needs to be serviced which of course will cost, this has obviously been programmed to happen every year or whatever.

    How can I get the engineer code so that I can reset the alarm? Even to give me the choice to get someone else to service it. I TOTALLY resent this system by the builders, with the alarm installer laughing all the way to the bank.....................

    I would appreciate any valuable advice on resetting the alarm.....

    Hi - I realise this is a very old post but did you ever get a solution. I have an alarm that has had the eng code changed so I need some way to reset it to the default.
