Nah, some bemused glances at me with full tripod, remote release and all. Nothing more. Drove up to Tonabrocky, very upset at the (lack of) view. Circular road is too washed out with yellowlight pollution. Had a brief spell on the Quincentennial Bridge...but tonights ventures will bring me to NUIG to shoot the Quad...

There are some really great views from Thonabrucky if you climb up the hill to the mast farm - it's a bit tricksy though. You can't see much toward the city from up there, but you do have some really spectacular views of Lough Corrib from on top.

In the general area you also have some lovely groves of trees, a whole - and really cool - abandoned quarry (it's on the far side of the hill from the mast farm, can't miss it), and also Dangan woods and sports ground. Not to mention at least two whole famine villages.

I know most of the GRC so getting access to even the mast itself won't be a problem, jsut was a bit chilly that night ! I used to live in Dangan actually, rented a colossal place just next to the B&B.
