Ok am heading off interrailing on sat for 2 weeks. Whats the best way to bring money? Cash/bank card/credit card? It costs €5 for every bank card transaction you make in europe so it makes no sense taking small sums out every few days. The other thing is the currency will obviously change each time we hit a new country so will it be hassle having to keep going to a foreign exchange? Has anyone else had this problem before they went, if so what did ye do?

It varies from bank to bank, and from country to country so your bank are the best people to ask. There's no such thing as a fixed charge everywhere afaik.

You say you're railing in Europe but didn't say which countries. How many won't have the euro?

In the end your bank card will almost always be the best option, no matter how much it costs IMHO.

For info, if I use my French card in Ireland I get charged 1.5% of the withdrawal amount to a maximum of €3.
