Aer Lingus are suspending DUB-DXB from next March.

Now strong rumours that Emirates will replace them on the route....

can't say I am shocked. Etihad Airways are eating them alive on their DUB-AUH route.
Though cargo on the EI flight is supposed to be very good.

Once EK come in, EI may kiss goodbye to ever re-appearing in DXB again.

Yeah the load factors were low on the Dublin-Dubai route.

Emirates have the hugh benefit over Aer Lingus in that they can take people from here to Dubai and then take them down to Sydney (along with other Emirate passengers that started their journey from Heathrow,Edinburgh or Manchester).

Cargo was excellent on Dubai however

Hence if Emirates were to start, they would probably bring the B777. It has excellent cargo capacity for Dublin...
