what is multi link?

Hi, im looking at moving into a new apartment , the owner said there is no NTL/SKY in the building but they have "Multi Link" , ive never heard of this before. He told me it costs the same as NTL and has all the same channels. is Multi Link MMDS? can someone tell me what it is and if its any good?

Wasnt Multilink the name used by the old cablelink company for MMDS ??
