    Hi

As the title suggests I'm looking for recommendations on a guitar, as I'm just a beginner. I know nothing of what is a good make is or anything (completely clueless, I'm afraid :)). Can afford €150-200, can i get anything good for this? Thanks for you help.

    Decent budget for a beginner

Cort, Yamaha, Ibanez, Fender would be good makes for starting out.

For next to nothing you could get a harley benton one off Thomann, but their made out of crappy laminate lol

    Take a look thru http://www.thomann.de/ie/dreadnought_guitars.html

200 is more than enough, don't worry.
And forget about Lidl, Aldi or Argos sets! Please!!!

I got the Lidl* electric (having started on an acoustic earlier this year) and am more than pleased with it. It's got an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard-exactly the same as a pacifica. The pickups aren't as good as a pacifica but one could upgrade those later if one wanted. It was 199 and a set very similar but slightly inferior is 248 on Thomann. Go figure.

Just don't knock a particular instrument because it's not sold in a traditional environment.

*I work for them, best declare that now, but if it was muck I'd say it was muck.
