Got my new (aluminium) Apple Wireless Keyboard

Apple screwed up the address, so it took a week longer than it should. Even though they match up your address to their list of addresses on the site, they left out two lines of the address which made the couriers job harder.

It is perfect for what I want - control the Mac as a TV video player, and is much smaller than the MS Wireless keyboard I was using before. Small enough for lap use and presentable looking in the living room.

The keys like all Apple keyboards are American, in that:

    instead of "
I opted for the international English version - don't see € or £ anywhere on it so I don't know what the point of that is.

I would never use it as a desktop keyboard, the ergonomics of it are terrible, but that is just as true of their mice as well.

Pairing it up took a few goes, but once done it worked fine.

It smells nice. The rubber/plastic on the keys smells kind of fruity (citrus/strawberry) , but heh, it is for Mac users. :)
You don't get this kind of detail in other hardware reviews.

The function keys on the top double up as volume, expose, playback controls, but I could not get that to work. They are just function keys to my Mac. I updated OS X three weeks ago, so I should have the up to date bluetooth support. Do you need Leopard for that?

I think I know what it might be. This review http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/10/15/review_apple_wireless_keyboard_aluminum.html&page=2
says the keyboard update must be selected manually, so I might not have gotten it.
This puzzle was only solved by consulting the user manual, which indicated that new software needed to be installed. The keyboard does not ship with a CD (it also requires Mac OS X 10.4.10, so you'll have to have an updated version of Tiger running to use it). Instead, the manual tells you to run Software Update. Unfortunately, my system did not find any updates when I did this. I had to search for the update on Apple's site. Sure enough, Apple released a Keyboard Software Update 1.2 in early September. I had to manually install it.
