I used this for the first time recently. Once it wasn't so good (I was in the country so it could have been my mobile network) and once it was great.

What I don't understand is why it can only be used from a mobile? I tried to register a landline today (to call a Japanese mobile) and it wouldn't allow it.

If you haven't used it though, it really is a great service.

But it is for making calls from a mobile !
I'm assuming that you already have a VoIP account with Blueface.
If you don't have a Blueface landline (or Softphone) then you can hardly have an account with Blueface surely.
If you have a Blueface landline or Softphone then why re-route your call through the Blueface VoIP server ? It would be no cheaper nor better sounding.
What are you trying to do ?

I'm not always at home, my mobile battery could die.

Supposing I am in someone else's house / a hotel. It would be great to use the service this way instead of only being able to use it on a mobile.

As said above, I needed to call a Japanese mobile, I'm not going to ask a friend can I do that but I would ask if I can call a Dublin number. Also, traveling comes to mind hotel phone charges are often excessive...

Yes I see what you mean now.
Think it is in the pipeline by Bluefacebut not presently arranged.

    A very desirable feature.

That's the kind of thing I was thinking. Even then it is more than I had meant but would be an excellent service.

Aaron (blueface) just mailed me to tell me what I wanted to do is now possible.

Excellent service, I didn't even ask him for this. :)

    Fantastic!
It now works for landlines, another vote for blueface :)

Must inform my parents of this feature, they might find it very handy

Perhaps an unreasonable request but it would be really cool if there was a UK geo number for goMobile.

I'm living there at the moment and find Blueface incredibly useful for keeping in contact with home.
