Ive been to the Stuttgart Volksfest a few times which is the same location as the Spring Beer fest so I'd imagine its quite the same thing.
It was great fun but i'd have to say , I enjoyed the Nurnberg Bierfest much more.
I don't know why that was exactly. Better atmosphere, lots of different tents offering different types of music.
The location in Nurnberg is quite nice aswell. Its where Hitler had his marching grounds, his attempt at building a colosseum, the museum etc
The nurnberg fest takes place 22. März – 6. April 2008
Its a lovely town aswell with plenty of great places to eat/drink.

Id say go to it instead

Hi thinking of heading to the Stuttgart Spring Beer Festival this year. Anyone been?

yeah, went a few years ago. great craic,much less crowded than munich and friendly people.would recommend it.
