Can anyone recommend a good bluetooth keyboard for the ps3? I bought a couple of cheap wireless ones online and they arent great with the ps3 (i.e. they have now become christmas presents!)

The problem with most wireless keyboards is the range of the receiver, which is usually around 1m.

Don't know if there are any BT ones available. Sony have apparently been very cagey about releasing BT info for accessories.

Harvey Normans have the Logitech PS3 Wireless Mediaboard for €65 IIRC.

I have one and it works very well, even from the far side of the sitting room, plus you can use it with a computer if you need to.

Did a bit of a search, only out recently:

Does anyone know where I could get em for a reasonable price in Ireland?

I assume these keyboards can be used as a controller for games (ie first person shooters) along with a mouse??. Much prefer playing FPS's and RTS's with keyboard/mouse as opposed to a clumsy controller.

Games have to explicitly support it.

I just use a MS keyboard and mouse (wireless, with a usb dongle, not bluetooth), and it works fine. Range is kind of limited though.

Sadly no FPS on the playstation currently takes advantage of the Keyboard/Mouse. The First game to do so is supposed to be Unreal Tournamnet 3 coming soon.

Apparently that new shiny keyboard doesnt work with yellow dog or ubuntu, load of arse!

The shiny 'Pro' is identical to the one I got, with the exception of the 'impossible to keep clean' piano black finish.

HMV have the Cordless Mediaboard also, but as I said, cheapest retail I have seen is €65 in Harvey Normans for the non 'Pro' version
