50 euro for vrt on a uk import??

    Is this true ive seen it mentioned in a few threads, 50 euros or there abouts for vrt on a classic car uk import?? we'll say a classic vw beetle for instance?

    Yes it's true , getting a classic through a marque specific UK club and driving it back is the way to go.You'll get a better deal for your 3K especially as the cut off date for UK classic tax is fixed at 1972 and ours is currently 77 (rolling 30 years). So cars between 72 and 77 should be a good deal.

    ok just to be clear on this, is there any other hidden costs i'll have to pay other than the 50euro to make the car legal in ireland.
