Saw him in the Roisin Dubh in Galway last night, thought he was very good, very little crowd interaction but it was a very enjoyable gig.

I thought his live show incredibly dull.

well it takes all sorts...i'm not a huge fan of the genre but amazingly enough his set at Electric Picnic was one of my surprise festival highlights, I had goosebumps listening to the large crowd roaring out 'Be Good Or be Gone' at the end. I'm sure anyone who was there will echo my thoughts. I'd been interested in him since I heard a recording on ruby Sessions cd a long while ago and had followed his progress through the press etc. We're somewhat oversupplied with singer songwriters in Ireland these days but he's on the top of the pile.

...I dunno, little interaction from him at the roisin gig, but, as i overheard some randomers saying at a particulary quiet moment of the gig, "That drummer's a genius!!!"
...at least some reach out to the crowd :D
