getting a laptop from work and have been told by carphone warehouse guys 3g is the way to go,as they are piggybacking on vodafone and expect bigger speeds by feb/march......... could be sales "waffle" me thinks

just wondering if anyone has any other ideas before taking the plunge, probably not too big a user, though this may change probably not going to be doing much gaming other than some on line poker, surfing net a little storage of music pics etc,

Carphone only sell that kind of thing.

Check DSL, Fixed Wireless and Metro availability first. 3G is a last resort alternative to dialup.
