    Hi all,

I'm currently having a dispute in work and hope you can help, it's a story from a "friend of a friend". They claim it is true but sounds surprisingly like an Urban Legend....

    The Story -

Well she always let the snake (python) ramble around her room and it normally slept at the end of her bed..

It stopped eating one day and then a few days later it started sleeping alongside her in the bed, with it's head on the pillow.. obviously she found this a bit odd so she rang the vet..

Vet freaked out on the phone, told her to put it in a box immediately and do whatever it takes to get rid of it as it was sleeping beside her to weigh up his prey and was starving itself to eat her... !

Is this true would a snake actually do that?

Is this story True or False 0 votes

To be honest this is a stupid thread & will only make people PANIC & get rid of their snakes!

Pythons do not get that big! & to know if there is any chance the snake could eat a human we would need to know what species of python!

Whilst large snakes could kill by wrapping itself around a neck only kids would be in danger of being swallowed by a snake - a reticulated python can get to 24 feet long but I am not sure its a fat enough snake to swallow a human adult. An anaconda would be capable of eating a human but these are very aggressive snakes & not one a "sane" person would allow to sleep on a bed! Mind you the idea of ANY large snake free roaming & being able to sleep in your bed hardly sounds sane at all! Maybe this so called person should be living in a padded cell?!
