    Hi
    looking to get a receiver and speakers , capable of receivign HD audio
    obviously , looking to spend about €1500 on the speakers and receiver ,
    (will stretch it to €2,000)

    anyone know a good system ?

    was looking at Harmon Kardon they seem nice ..

    and what about a DVD player ? (maybe blu-ray)
    would i need to spend big money on that to do it justice with a HK system ??

    Try the Onkyo range of receivers, from the 605 upwards are all capable of processing HD audio, although i am not aware of any source equipment that can output HD audio as yet.
    Onkyo's new range of receivers has just swept the board at the What Hifi awards for their receivers so can't be to bad!!

    The PS3 can , although I'm not sure if there is any content available yet .... Im sure its on its way.

    By the way , for the money , the PS3 is one of the best blu ray players you can buy , capable of anything the best standalones can do , and with the SW update features online , it gets better all the time.
