I remember a few months back there was a studio shoot up in Belfast. Does anyone know if there are more coming up, or want to plan on for maybe the next day out?

+1 interested here... maybe if it was possible to organise it a bit closer to home than Belfast though?

Initially interested no matter where it is though.

I've done one or two shoots up north. The organised one from here was in Randalstown, in Imagery Studio. They're all booked up for weekends until Jan. The venue, while a large enough studio is only really suitable for 3-4 photographers at a time.

There are very very few studios to rent around, which is a major shame. I think there's one in Wexford, and then a few in NI.

Wexford wouldn't be terrible, and it might encourage people from outside Dublin to show... I'm doing some family portraits (groan) in December, so as well as getting some practice in, I think it would be good fun

I'll try and dig out the info on the studio in Wexford tonight. Not sure if it's a personal studio (owned by someone and just allows others to use it) or if it's a commercial studio for rent.

I've to do a few family portrait shoots myself, but it'll be Jan at this stage.

I was up in NI on Saturday for a shoot. 15 photographers and 15 models in a large old 17th century building/grounds. Only managed to photograph 3-4 models, but it was interesting. Working with natural window light, camera flash, studio flash, softboxes etc. A full range of equipment and settings. I haven't had a chance yet to go through the images taken.

Maybe it would be easier to get a small group, hire some models, and choose a location that is more interesting that a studio...
