Orangina?

Perhaps I'm a little out of the loop here, but has Orangina completely disappeared from Irish shelves? I was in France for the Summer, and that is pretty much all they drink everywhere.. resulting in my obsession (a la kenan and kel, i never watched that) and Fanta/Club donkey piss epiphany.

I cant even remember the last time I saw it here, this could well be one for the retro forum. Suggestions?

    Ohhh Orangina!

    Perfect hangover tipple :)

Just to say! I saw it (for the first in Ireland in AGES) in Costa Coffee in Citywest shopping centre. Dunno if that helps!

It's freely available in the UK, but it's hard to find in Ireland. Maybe you could order it online?

(BTW, just to rub it in, the 2 litre bottles are 99p here :p)

Iceland sell it in Northern Ireland.
They source a lot of products from Britain, the only ones I can see that are local are Bread, Milk and Eggs.

Even their Coca Cola comes from Britain.

You might not find it as easy in Tesco or Sainsbury's in NI though.

I must resist the urge to....
Local supermarket has it for €2.65 for 6 cans.

It is one of the very few that is still in glass bottles (at least it was the last time I checked the international food shop). Decent taste as well.

I coulda sworn I seen it in Superquinn, Blanch not so long ago.

I was over in France during the summer and my brothers and sisters made me bring loads of the stuff back over to them coz they didn't think you could get it here and I was raging then when I saw it in the supermarket!!!

Well - it's in Malaga in Spain. I had about 2 bottles when I was on my hols but the pulp 'bits' were a little too much for me even though i shaked the bottle. Methinks that it could have been on the shelf a little long?!?

How does that work? Can I bring in an empty country spring 3L:pac:?

Was there food in ikea too? I saw some magazine with an add and it seemed there was really cheap food there, might have been mistaken though.

I think some €2 shops might have orangina.

Orangina is all over Scotland too, it's made by the same people who make Irn Bru.

Rubadub - Ikea do food alright. They have café's in the middle of the warehouse where you can stop for food and refreshments.

    Daim cheesecake... Mmmmmmm....

Orangina is the king of orange sodas!

All you could possibly want to know about it:

Drool... even the picture of those bottles is making me thirsty.

If I remember correctly, not only does it taste great but it's doesn't contain a lot of the crap that other drinks like Fanta and Club Orange etc. contain (sodium benzoate possibly). Mind you, I'm sure that's not really an important consideration of those on the Snacks and Sweets forum. :D

Believe it or not, the suppliers have been trying to sell it here for years. I have worked for three different retail groups and in each, the stuff went out of date. I was even offered it wholesale at buy one get one free.

    Eventually they just gave up.
