Just wondering if anyone has tried microsofts new photo technology called photosynth. It is basically a way of cataloging visually related photos using high complexity algorithms in such away that they can be pieced togeather from many diiferent angles to produce 3d elements.
They program actually from the pictures alone know where the photographer was standing in relation to the digital photograph.

They look visually spectacular and dosen't depend on the processing power or memory in you pc only by the number of pixels in your screen, built on sea dragon back bone.

They say that in the next few years they will be able to build a massive 3d world from every photograph on the internet.

    It will look spectacular!!!

Go to http://labs.live.com/photosynth/ to see it in action. Still only BETA though

Yes it works even in your web browser via a special active x component they built, but of course being microsoft only works on IE and not Firefox.

I've seen it all right. It looks really cool and it's the type of thing you could be playing with for hours without realising the time go by.
