New PS3- What do I need?

Hi,

Just bought a PS3. What accounts and so forth do I need to get the most out of it???

Set up a japanese account to download the new Gran Turismo demo, it'll blow you away.
Then set up an american account too. They get more demos and trailers, and they get them sooner than we do. There will be a demo if Uncharted Drakes Fortune out on the US playstation store next thursday.

Cool thanks, can I do all that even though I set up an Irish account?

Do I need to set up a new User or can I go it all of the one user?

And is there a download limit?

You need to set up different accounts. You can create several user profiles. I use my original Irish all of the time. I only use the others to access the US and Japanese playstation stores.
No download limit.

So just set up a new user and then set ur country of origin to the store you want?

Thats quite the legendary tip to set up jap and us accounts.

If anyone is having trouble doing this, what i did was setup a new user on my ps3 called jujuusa, then joined the community selecting usa as my location, and using a differrent email address, the only snag i came across was when entering a postal code, but i just found a random us one online.

I did a similar thing when setting up the jap account, i just remembered what each screen was from the previous usa setup. Postal codes werent a problem here and the system accepted 5 as a valid code!?

Im sure that eventually sony will crack down on this thing in the future. Until then, happy fookin days.

i just googled a jap one. took my about twice as long than the US one cos i don't speak japanese, but if you do it right after doing a euro and US one you'll recognise where everything is more or less.

i did mine all on launch day before any guides were out.

so far only used the jap one 2 or 3 times for the GT5 demo and one or 2 other things. mostly use the US one now.
