Hard Drive Partitions

Hey everyone:) Made a complete mess of trying to dual-boot XP on my Vista Business Laptop and now I'm completely lost as how to fix it. Heres the current state of my HDD in Diskmanager.

Now, when I boot the laptop, Bootmanger gives me two choices
    • Windows Vista Business
    • Windows Vista Business (recovered)

The second option just reboots the laptop and goes back to bootmanager. The first option boots into Vista normally. Now, what I'm trying to do is get rid of bootmanager at the start and just boot into Vista.

And I'm wondering if its OK to delete that Recovery partition. I think I have to make that (C: ) partition the active one and a primary and I'd extend it by deleting the recovery partition and using the unallocated partition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm a little out of my depth here. Thanks:)

I would i be correct in presuming its a dell laptop??? that 10gb partition has nothing to do with the recovery of windows... ive deleted my recovery partition and installed a gutsy dual boot on there.
As for deleting the option from the boot loader, try using EasyBCD.

Grub loader in Ubuntu will sort that out for you, just use the recovery partion for your install or shrink your vista to make a larger partion if needed

run msconfig and go to boot and delete the vista that says recovery and reboot and it should boot srtaight into vista without the boot manager.

Thanks guys! It now boots normally to Vista but I can't delete the Recovery partition. If I try to format it, it says 'Windows cannot format this partition' or something like that. Any Ideas?

And my OS partition is a logical partition I think, Shouldnt it be a Primary?

    Thanks
