Something has me worried the last few weeks with my monitor. It occasionally jitters a little when the backround colour is white.
Machine is a dell ,vista hp ,dell 2007 wp,x1300 gfx.

When I am using flickr and viewing photos ,if I move the mouse pointer over a darker part of the screen ,the white flickers slightly.

When I have a clear screen (Desktop) I can see my desktop backround move ,like it is drawing itself .The gradation of the image looks like it's moving.

Anything I can do ?,I tried googling and changing the screen res etc. No joy though :(

    Thanks.

I've never had this issue, but try it on another PC to be sure it's the monitor, then call Dell... it should come with a 3-year warranty (IIRC), so I'd say they'll replace it.

Though they'll try to replace it with some crappy refurbished model most likely... which often have dead pixels (or in my experience all of them)... which you can then moan more about and thus the cycle of returning shítty refurbished replacements begins.
Having said that, if you're happy with the first replacement, the whole affair is quite painless and very fast.

Sounds like it could be video card aswell, have you tryed upgrading to the latest ATI drivers? Also as DonkeyStyle \o/, try monitor in another pc to confirm!

Thanks for the replies ,I installed the new ati drivers earlier and tightened up the monitor cable.

I don't fancy ringing dell for help ,I'll check the monitor on something else if the problem persists .

    Cheers ,
    Brian.
