Sigma Rechipping for EOS400D

    Hi All,
    Recently upgraded to a 400D from a 300 film, thinking I could keep my old lenses, however I found out my much liked Sigma DL 70-300mm macro lens is incompatible. A bit of googling has suggested that there could be a possibility of upgrading the firmware / chip in the lens to make it work, but I couldn't find anything in Ireland or even on the Sigma website.

    Has anyone successfully got a Sigma lens upgraded in Ireland?

    PS: the problem was with the Autofocus, just didn't work / turn. I could manually focus and the camera would show the AF points that were in focus.
