So I've just done this and it seems to work. I can access and use my XP desktop from my Vista laptop. I'm just wondering is there anyway to make sure it's secure and I've done it right? Only I didn't understand 1 or 2 things in that tutorial and I'm a little worried it's not secure. Any takers?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VNC
VNC may be tunnelled over an SSH or VPN connection which would add an extra security layer with stronger encryption.
    ...
UltraVNC supports the use of an open-source encryption plugin which encrypts the entire VNC session including password authentication and data transfer. It also allows authentication to be performed based on NTLM and Active Directory user accounts.

    ZVNC - ZeBeDee enabled VNC
seems to be dead :( - one nice feature was that you could mix/match zebedee and VNC if you were paranoid http://www.winton.org.uk/zebedee/
