Was this an Angle Shoot?

Seems to be the topic of the moment, so in this context I was wondering was this an angle shoot?

At he RDS 2-5 nl holdem standard raise is about 35 and generally called by 3/4 players. Theres a couple of limpers and I limp from co with 67d. Button rasies to 35 with two callers and I decide to call(playing deep). Flop is K 8 9 (1 diamond). Checked to me, I check, the button makes it 55, 1 caller and I call. Turn is another 8. everyone checks. River is 10. I hit lower end of straight. first to act bets 30:confused: I make it 75, button makes it 300.

I'm thinking for a short while and lift my cards pretty high off the table while looking at them. The dealer could possibly see them if he wanted. The villian takes up his cards and goes to throw them in the muck saying "your hand is dead, the dealer saw your cards, I win" etc etc. At this point I believe he does not want a call and decide to call.

He turns over 10,10 for full house:eek:

Was this an Angle shoot or just good speech play?

I don't think he was angle shooting, just roped you in. He wasn't exploiting a rule per say.

    Good speech play.

Lifting your cards up is stupid.

Yeah O.k...I was Villian....With all the talk of angle shooting etc. I genuinely wasn't sure whether I overstepped the mark or not.....I tend to do alot of this in cash(not so much in tournaments:confused:)...

Mate of mine said he would have got up and knocked the sh1te out of me if it were him...

Anyway feel a bit better now, thanks for the replies....

Can't say i'd do it, but I've seen a hell of a lot worse. I can't ever remember ever trying to get someones hand declared dead.
