Correct me if I'm wrong here, but surely 4K starting stack(less than 100BB) and a 30 minute clock is ridiculous for a €500 But-In event........

    That gut-wrenchingly bad value IMO.

first level is 25/25, but still really bad value, I would be interest to see if this gets the numbers. Why not run it on the Saturday evening with a better structure and make it a 2 day event. I know its a EPT side event, but again poor management in relation to the local market where there's better value games all over the place.

Im pretty sure whoever is involved in organising these side events is brain dead and igonorant! They are an absolute disgrace!

Compared to the structures we are used to here in Ireland, it is. But compared to most lower buyin tourneys in the rest of the world, it's pretty standard. My point is that we are blessed with a tourney culture here that expects relatively deep stacks for our tourney euro. For this reason alone, I'd expect Irish players to do well on the international scene because they get so much more deep stack tourney experience.

Seem to me that it is arrogance, nothing more. ITS THE EPT - WHY DO WE NEED TO EVEN CONSIDER WHAT THE DOMESTIC MARKET PROVIDES AT THIS BUYIN LEVEL!!?? WE HAVE A COOL LOGO SO THE LOCALS WILL TURN OUT ANYWAY!!

Wow that is definitely riding you without ever pulling down the trousers.

I can't believe soon to be crapshoot is an EPT backed event

I never seen the 25/25 level Ollie TBH, but still that is just rape, I could buy 550 cans of coke instead, or 687 mars bars, or 2750 chomp bars, 3.5 Ipod Nanos 4 GB, 5 spanking pairs of trainers, 8 prem' ship jerseys, a rent deposit/payment for the month, 27.5 student nights out, blah blah etc.

It's a farcical amount of money for a glorified pub tourneyEdit: albeit in casino and dealer dealt, with a shiny flashing illuminous logo. Us Irish Neanderthal poker players will know doubt "flock to it" en masse:rolleyes: me hole we will
