Picked up a bass during the week, loving it. Playing "Money" more times than Pink Floyd did I'd say. :p

Anyway, I need an amp now as I think my mate may want his back, lol.

I have about €150 to spend, new OR second hand is fine. I want it to last though, and decent enough than when I upgrade my Bass, I won't need to upgrade my amp.

I'll be using at home for practicing on my own 90% of the time.

If you go new, the only thing with any reasonable wattage in that price range is Behringer.

If you go used, you just might luck out and find an Ashdown or SWR with fair wattage.

Gallien-Krueger, Eden, Roland, and Trace Elliot are all pretty pricey and you probably won't find them even used in that price range, but they're all names to look for.

I recommend staying away from Crate, as you get much more wattage with Behringer, at roughly the same quality level.

I use this amp and its plenty loud and really cheap for the quality you're getting. Awkward to carry is the only complaint I've had with it so far, but I've got myself a trolley for it now so my back is happier.

Exactly what I bought for practicing at home!
Later, I found out it did an O.K. job of keeping up with a fairly loud hard rock band.

You're right, that sucker is extremely heavy for it's size.

I can't find the 120w anymore on musician's friend, but they seem to have a 180w version now (200 USD) for the same price I paid.
