    is there any program or way to convert omg music files from my sony mp3 player to mp3 or wav files that will work elsewhere?

    Not sure if it does as got rid of my sony stuff ages ago but try importing it into itunes - i know it converts all my .wma files into .mp3 files for me.

    you're pretty much screwed as sony and their formats are more or less set in stone.

    You could burn them as audio to CD and then re-import them to iTunes or whatever as MP3's - might take a while if there are a lot of tracks though!

    re-rip from the original source tbh, transcoding makes me cry and my ears bleed.
