I dont think kids really have set bed times any more, (dont have kids, could be wrong), but when I was a nipper, (and all this was just fields), my whole family would have set bedtimes depending on the age.

As the youngest of four, mine was always the earliest. I remember for quite a while, my bed time was 8PM, then my brother 3 years older was 9PM and the brother three years up again was 10.30. The eldest was in his twenties then (and wore one of those ties with piano keys on it) so he stayed out til mad times like twelve!

In our house we each had a 1 hour extension every week which could be used as we saw fit. I could break mine into two half hours and stay up to watch telly til 8.30 if there was a show on I liked, or be really mad stay up til nine watching something. When a good film started at 8, I'd always use the hour extension knowing my da wouldnt have the heart to send me to bed before it was over :D Still, on regular nights, the sound of the closing them of Coronation street always horrified me because it meant I had to go bed!

Did you have bedtimes when you were a nipper? Mine went on til I was about about 12 I think, then it just kind of fizzled out.

I cant remember when the bedtime limit was removed from me, but I remember being shocked and kind of disgusted with myself when I didn't use it to stay up late every night!

I think there was some kind of system where it was the same as my age..?

Mine was 8:00pm until around 11 or 12 as well. After that, we used to stay up and watch WCW on UTV on Thursday nights or else wait until Saturday afternoon, what a waste of a night. :)

Mine was quarter past 8 as i was allowed to see my dad when he came in from work. He worked 8 to 8 each day so that was the only time i ever saw him. My granda was well annoyed keeping me up so late!

heh! I remember long movie interuptus alright!

When I was a nipper 8 pm was the absolute latest on a school-next-day evening, Friday and Saturday it was more like 9.30 pm sometimes later depending on parental mood and what was on.

By the time I was 12, ie secondary school it was about 10 pm - never told as such. I just knew!

    Mike.

Yup we had bedtimes when we were smaller - can't quite recall the exacts. I know on a ...Saturday night, we'd have a bath and sit in our pjs watching the Generation Game with Bruce Forsyth.

We still have certain bed times in the house - I've two teenage siblings.

When you were 16 you has to go to bed at 4?

When did you do your homework?

Heh, I used to have to go to bed after Glenroe too - 9pm on a Sunday and every Schoolday.
