Right I remember people mentioning that they were having issues with certains mags and this make. The one I got came with a high capacity mag but I prefer mid caps. What brand would people recommend. I would veer towards MAG mags as I got 8 for the M4 I had and they are excellent.

Sorry I can't help you man, I do like the M14 and have indeed read that finding mid size mags for the AGM make is difficult.

I was looking for some myself.
I couldn't actually get a definate answer, but I think the King Arms ones will fit with a little modification.

well as with all of these there is a small mod. i have king arms and they need a small shaving on the rear hub. i am about to mod mine dude so i will let you know how i get on.

    tm ones apparently fit perfectly.

Kings arms are great once they say hello to Mr HackSaw jim Duggan.

they fit nice and snug and no feed issues.

I have read a few post where people were saying that the AGM M14 were wired the wrong way around from most AEG. They may have fixed the problem.

yep it seemed to be an early problem...so it depends on the batch from what i can see. i was prepped like you to do it (pop the white connectors and swap on the aeg)

but i would hold off until you get it, you might be alright

Yep looks like they need to be switched alright. Have a 3600Mah I want to use with it so I will have to switch the connections.

Got my agm m14 at weekend the wires were the wrong way. Took about 10 mins to switch them around on the battery and on the aeg. Used a precision screwdriver to push in the anchors on the connections and then just popped out the wires and swapped them around. The battery had a small charge in it and it test fired ok, have not had the time to go near it since and I am waiting on a scope for it.

cpq, you might need to check, i think that works for the aeg but not the battery...now i could be wrong....

The battery would not connect to my smart charger unless I switched the wires around. I then charged it for about 15 mins and it seemed to charge fine but had to stop as I as going out. I know there is a link on arnies somewhere I must look it up.

Has anybody any opinions on what I did?

Picked up an AGM M14 last night, again I had the same problem with it being wired wrong, can anyone confirm for me if swapping the connectors like said above works for the batteries?

As I previously said I swopped the wires around on the aeg and on the battery gave the battery a short charge and it worked fine. BUT did not use the charger that came with it I used a smart charger I got from england and unless I swapped the wires on the battery it would not have worked with the smart charger.

Yeah sound, I have a smart charger too, but I had to charge the battery using the charger that came with it, because the wires were wrong on it. That's grand, I'll get around to swapping the connectors as soon as possible then. Cheers.
