New Pc...again

right tried for the last 3 hours to get my head round a new custom build. really am a bit lost performance wise as to what to look out for.

mainly using the pc for video editing/photoshop, so looking for 4 gig ram minimum, duel core minimum, cheapo gfx will cover me ok, no need for optical drives, sound is irrelevent, screen not needed,nor keyboard mouse. so i need a

mobo
processor
gfx
ram
hd (160-250 gig)

on a serious budget as this is an unplanned expense due to old pc blowing on me

500 would be amazing... no more than 700 tho

anyone wanna help

well if u really want performance for your video editing/photoshop use, u really shud get a quad core

if u can afford to fork out for the quad core, this would do u good:

However, you do know that for the 4gigs ram, u need a 64bit operating system?

case is sorted, use myold one, dont need afancy looking one, just a powerful one.

humm quad is the better choice...but its alot extra.

i'll be getting vista 64 i think

ata hd? really need sata minimum and mobo seems to be less than reliable with vista... looks good otherwise. gfx...id dx10 really needed for vista/ps? i know some video editors are using gfx cpus now to boost performances it worth skimping?

oh rite well u said "cheapo gfx will cover me ok" - that was why i was going for that. u dont get a "cheapo gfx" thats directx10 unfortunately in your budget.

sure have a look around on komplett...its not too hard
