Stinking about getting a new 24" iMac.... Been using the GFs one for a while now n going back to windows seems like going back to the 80's.

Anyways, the 24" in the states works out at €1200 odd.... If u include shipping its still a big saving over buying one here. I know apple do worldwide warranty so thats not a problem...

Question: Is the PSU dual voltage or would u need a transformer??

Is there anywhere over here that sells them cheaper than apple.ie??

Is there any differences between the US iMac n the Euro one??

You'll get caught & stung on tax, plus you cannot order it from the Apple online store.

If you can get someone on eBay to ship without declaring the value you *may* avoid customs charges, but coming up to the time of year it is now I doubt you would... :(
Alternatively, book a romantic weekend away in New York ;):p

The PSU is dual voltage, no adapter needed. Keyboard is the only difference AFAIK between US iMac and Irish/European one

My cousin lives in the states so I can get one sent to him off apple for free n get him to ship it to me n mark it as a gift or warranty replacement etc. After shipping i'd save about €4-450.... Big difference. A 24" iMac for the price of a 20"
