Change a player's position??

Hey, is there a way in the new football manager to train a player for a new position? There definitely used to be a way in older games, but i can't seem to find it in '08.... Any help would be much appreciated, i need to turn a central midfielder into a left mid, and a central defender into a sweeper.... cheers!!

Go to the individual players screen, click on training and overview. It should be in there
