If it does not change channels on your sky box then you need new batteries or a new remote

Does the LED flash on the remote?

    Are the batteries inserted correctly?

Maybe Skybox is refusing to accept IR signals, where a reboot should fix it (unplug from mains, plug back in after a minute and wait til box boots up again).

If this doesn't work, try resetting your remote control...

If that doesn't work, try a new remote.
