Netopia Router disconnects

Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm trying to specify a custom service (open ports) on my eircom netopia wireless router but anytime I press the button to do this the router disconnects... it's really wierd, it doesn't disconnect at any other time. Anyone got any idea? Thanks
