Saw this image and it inspired me to go out and get a suction cup mount for my car to get some nice shots. I've been looking at a few but I'm not sure how to trigger the photo if the camera was to be mounted near the wheel arch. Maybe somebody could help me? Its a Fuji Dslr s5600

S5600 isn't a DSLR and think the max shutter length is about 2-5 seconds ?

Don't think it has a remote option either ?

You'd be fighting an uphill battle alright but its not impossible. You'll need a long exposure, a cokin ND filter to help you get that long exposure, and just push the car as opposed to driving it.

99.999999998989897545421659% of rig shots are done at walking pace. Building a proper rig is apparently a black art, as in one that can take the whole car in, but I hope to overcome that before the new year !

You could make up a safety wire in case it breaks away from a length of brake cable inner from a bike shop ( or better a clutch cable inner from a motorbike shop) and loop it to something inside , it'd be light & strong.

This is the camera.I always thought it was a low-end digital slr ( but I don't know much about photography really) and it can do 15 seconds shutter time. For the photo that I posted in the first post, the guy just drove a few mph. I wouldn't be looking at a full rig and I've seen a few of these done using mini rigs from looking online( not needing the professional look)

Non-interchangeable lenses = not an SLR.

    That isn't right
SLR stands for single-lens reflex camera, nothing to do with the feature of changing lenses, that's a different thing

Stephen was just pointing out the fastest way to distinguish between the two ...

Indeed. More often than not, if its a fixed lens it ain't an SLR!
