Import Duty on Books?

I've gotta get some books which only Amazon.com seem to have. From my investigations it appears that i shouldn't be charged any import duty on books and also as far as I'm aware there's no VAT on books in Ireland. So if this is true I should only be charged the price I see on the final page at Amazon.com... But before I go…

I read in another post here that books are exempt from import duty.
