Theres the TM , Classic Army , a crappy clone(a HK33 clone) and a new clone due sometime soon.

The TM one is very reliable and shoots ~270fps
The Classic Army one has a full metal body and shoots ~310fps

I've only heard horror stories about the current Both Elephant clone(HK33)
    (read the reviews on RSOV).

I own the TM version and owned the CA version for a few months.

I adore my TM version but I've also upgraded all of the internals added an RIS system, drum mag, scope etc. although as stock it worked perfectly for me.

The CA version weighs a ton as its full metal but is a lot sturdier than the TM and more powerfull from stock.

Their are pics of mine in the pic thread and CRAZYRABBIT has done a review of his there also.

If I was buying from the start again I'd get the CA version and rebuild the gearbox but I'd consider the price and weight and take a hard look at the TM version first.

The only fault I'd give to any version would be the sheer size. Many verticaly challanged people cannot shoulder it properly.

    Hope this helps

HAHAHA no problems with me vertically ( over 6ft ), Where did you buy yours, and is there some sort of kit you can get to make the TM version full metal too!

I got mine from airsoft scotland before i knew of the guys in the far east.
I think Rabbit got his off redwolf and got a 1j upgrade.

You can buy a metal body and cocking tube for the TM but the cost make it more expensive than the already metal CA version

Where would one get the CA version? Uncompay has a SAR version of the g3 calling it the M41.

The CA version of the G3 SG1 is called the SAR Taktik II.

I believe BFSL has it in the price list.

I got the TM one awhile back. Beautifull gun. Got it from Redwolf with a 1J upgrade and some hicaps. Only thing i could fault it on is the bipod is completly useless. It seems like a good idea having it untill you actually try use it. Pointless  Also if you get the tm one: Take the flash hider off and glue it back on with some decent glue. No matter how well u tighten the hex screw itll allways fall off. God bless the dude at HRTA who found it in long grass by accident last time :D

Yup, I got mine from redwolf airsoft along with upgraded internals and a camo paint job (well worth the extra cost).

I have the TM version and it's a great AEG but there are some tiny issues with it. Firstly, the bipod is downright annoying and I removed mine after about 2 weeks. It just doesn't lock into position. Second is the size of the AEG....I have no problem shouldering it, but it's a real pain trying to climb ditches with it and crawling through dense folliage/undergrowth. Not really a problem in the new HRTA site though. Oh and it's not really suited to CQB either, so I use a .75j TM AK Beta Spetz for CQB.

Overall it's a really good AEG and I would recomend it.

Yeah, bipod isnt big issue for me was planning on removing it anyway! plus i want a good sized aeg anyway even if it is a pain! Just checked out redwolfairsoft.com, what options would you recommend, charger, battery etc.

If its length you're going for I'd recommend look at the star full length G36. The folding stock is a great plus.

ooohhh.....very nice, still im not too interested in the G36, its too common!

The G36C is common, the full length isn't. In fact only star make it.

Cool, just checked their website and they do make the full version.

The Sar tatik2 and M41/G3A3 from Ca both are a lot lighter then previous versions of Classic Army G3 guns but still as sturdy and solid. I would recommend them over the TM, plus points are a better gearbox and much stronger stock springs but with Marui motors for high ROF.

It will hold any battery, even the slightly larger 3800mAH ones. I'd recommend getting the camo paint job on it....it looks a lot nicer. Just don't forget to ask them to paint any extra mags you buy.

For charger, this seems pretty good, albeit a little expensive:

A Camo paintjob for the awesome black G3-SG1! No way, personally the black is just sweet! yeah im considering the CA one now, whats the quality of the metal like? its probably worth gettin a 1 joule upgrade for that too!

I've just read a review on the Classic Army SAR Tactical Rifle II. It's a full metal arsoft rifle with a ver strudy bipod (better than TM) and a very good gearbox. It shoots at 311 fps. review link (you will have to translate it, if you don't understand German)

Oh Yeah, Is the bipod removable on the SAR taktik???
