Bars Disappearing?

    Hi, I have had a problem since last night with the start bar on the bottom of the screen disappearing in each window, and the one at the top appears after I hover the cursor for ages. Also the -, restor and X on top right come up in black, when they are usually red. How can I get it back to normal? Thanks.

    Also, I use windows xp.

    I'm not exactly certain what you are saying. If one of your problems is that the taskbar at the bottom of your screen is disappearing then move your mouse to the bottom of the screen, the task bar will appear, right click on the task bar, hit properties, and adjust the settings to lock the task bar, untick autohide and tick keep the taskbar on top of other windows.

    As regards the title bar at the top, i suspect that a setting has been changed. Have a look in the display properties in the control panel. It may be in the appearance tab under advanced.
