Can anyone help, My boss wants me to book his holiday to Orlando for him and his family, for next year ive never been so know nothing about the place, we were looking to book one of the hotels in Disneyland, now they look very expensive, does anyone know what is the best part to be in? so its close to everything. He has 3 kids from the ages of 15-13-9.

Have you been with your kids and where did you stay?

    Great if you can help.

Hotel in International Drive would be best. Most hotels will have shuttle services to Disney/Universal. Them Disney hotels are way too expensive in my opinion.

    Good Luck

I'm just back from Orlando and haven't gone to bed yet.

First off does he want to drive or rely on shuttles? We didn't want to drive and the shuttles were good. You don't need a car unless you want to go off somewhere else. Do they want to go to other parks also?

We stayed in Quality Suites near Universal off International Drive. It wasn't my first preference when booking but it was alright apart from when we arrived they'd let our room so we had to go elsewhere for the first night.

My original choice of hotel was Homewood Suites down International Drive but it was booked out. I know people who had stayed there and they thought it was lovely, check out the reviews on tripadvisor.com, it gets good reviews there and I think it provides complimentary shuttles. Some hotels provide complimentary shuttles others can charge for it

I bought our park tickets before we went and took advantage of the exchange rate. I got very good value tickets on recommended discount sites.

I booked 7 consecutive days hopper tickets that covered Universal and Island of Adventure for $86.99 + tax each on Universal's website. You cannot get that deal there. I think it's only for those outside US only.

I booked 6 days hopper tickets for Disney on www.undercovertourist.com. You pay the exact same price if you're getting 3, 4, 5 or 6 days. They will post out ligitimate Disney tickets to you so you avoid going near the ticket booths or collection points, you just go straight to the turnstile. The site says to allow 12 working days for free international delivery but it took 15 for ours to arrive.

I booked Discovery Cove on it's website. It needs to be booked in advance as they only allow up to 1000 people per day. It was my boys and husband's favourite place. They loved their swim with the dolphin, snorkling and the price includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks including alcohol and they provide wetsuits, sunscreen, snorkles, towels, toiletries. The price also includes 7 days at SeaWorld.

We took the I Trolley (goes the length of International Drive) to the Premium Outlets for the shopping. It only costs $1 each and children aged 12 and under are free. The Lynx run a number of routes, adults $1.50 children 75c our you can get a daily pass for $3.50

Find out what he wants and get back to me and I'll help if I can.

I meant to add that I booked everything separately and saved a lot compared to what a travel agent would have charged.
