Would anyone have recommendations on airlines or agents fro a 3 week trip to Australia in Feb '08

We are trying to decide on the shortest and most cost effective route to take. We are bring our two children with us, hence the need for the shortest route

For anything long-haul, I'd talk to Trailfinders.

Eithad Airways do, dublin-abu dhabi-sydney. Pretty good cause only 1 stop. Most other flights will have a stop in london, paris, frankfurt or amsterdam then another one in asia.
Haven't flown with eithad before. I'm going to Sydney with them on 27th Dec. I like the route cause it's only one stopover for couple of hours. There is also direct from London. 24 hrs flight with BA or Virgin.
check out www.travelpaths.ie as well. These are usually the cheapest flights.

Singapore Airlines are the best if you are going to that part of the world. I cannot recommend them enough.... especially if you are traveling with kids. Their service and help is top notch.

Dublin -> Frankfurt -> Singapore -> Sydney is your likely route..... (plus they have the A380 on the Singapore to Sydney route now :) )

The flight is almost certainly not 24 hours. The travel time is probably over 24 hours yes.

    I'd recommend personally Dublin-Abu Dhabi-Sydney

    Etihad are brilliant

    HI,

    Thanks for your help.
We would be travelling to Perth, I will check out Eithad from Dublin and see if they have onward flights to Perth,

It is my two Children that are the deciding factor.
    Regards
