    Oh ****, sorry man :/
Real Madrid just put together an incredible attacking move, but Ruud couldn't finish it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Ruud just put one away, after Helguara fouling Van Nist at least 3 times still put it away. Real Madrid are killing Valencia here.

lol, Metzelder just put the ball over when it would have been easier for him to put it in the net, what an incredible miss.

Just saw the highlights of Villareal vs. Levante. Levante are absolute garbage, to be expected really, Harte ain't playing for them anymore.

kdjca's fave Spanish team, Sevilla, go 1-0 down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Valencia pull one back, but then Real attack with ease and score another from Robinho. This is hilarious. Harsh on Ruud, had a chance for a hattrick and taken off. Baptista is being put in the shop window :P Somebody could be getting fired over this :)

Fair play to Raul. I thought he was going to go the way of Patrick Kluivert, seems to be doing very well this season.

Bit late for someone to get fired, didnt Valencia sack their coach the other day, maybe the reason for a performance like that

Just watching this now, 40 mins on the clock, 4-0 to Madrid. Fantasy football kinna stuff going on. Van Nistelrooy on fire. They're scoring for fun.

Him and Van Nistelrooy have been the most effective partnership in Europe since the beginning of last March. They're almost telepathic at this stage. His dip in form was for very different reasons than Kluivert, who's just lazy. Raúl is like the complete opposite.

3 weeks ago I backed RVN on paddypower at 25-1 for World Player of the year when the list came out - can't find the current odds. Kaka was the short odds favourite but when I heard that final voting does not take place for a few more weeks I couldn't resist (final 3 are named in December).

If the announcement of a winner had of been when the list came out then i would have said Kaka hands down because this season was only in its embryonic stage.

Remeber RVN has been awesome for the whole of the calender year 2007 and Kaka has not been setting the world alight this season...I think Ruud has a great chance because his current constant form will mean he will be at the front of coaches/captains minds who are voting.

Don't expect him to win but I will be shocked if he is not in the final 3 and give me a run for my money!

I'd be surprised to see Ruud win it, he doesn't have the reputation of Kaka and Real didn't get far enough in the CL.

No, see this thread and my post #23: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055163428&page=2

...must have been about 20 passes in the lead up to Ronaldinhos equaliser tonight?...no matter how **** Barca are doing they never stop trying to play:)

Valencia have such a quality team, it's crazy how badly they can play.

Barcelona, for all their galacticos, are a bit.... well.... sh1t this season to be honest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

They are up and down. Earlier in the season people were actually drooling over them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,096 ✭✭✭An Citeog

Messi was on fire at the start of the season and was ripping teams apart by himself. He seems to have calmed down a bit now and isn't as explosive as he was. Henry has been fairly poor all season and Ronaldinho looks like he's waiting to move on and is going through the motions. It's also fairly obvious now how much Barca miss Deco as a playmaker.

I noticed against Rangers that there was a big gap between Iniesta+Xavi and the 4 attackers. Iniesta has his odd burst forward. Deco seems to link up the midfield and attack.
