    -_GAMING WEEK_-

    The week after Review Week, everyone really just wants to knuckle down and get back to work.
    But that isn't going to stop GameSoc! We've got a whole week of events booked for you guys, and it's going to be a huge heap of fun, the best thing though, is that any event fees that you'll have to pay are ONLY 1 Euro, and not only that, they're all going to charity!

    Here's the schedule:
    Monday 5th November:
    At 18:00 in A322 in Kevin Street, we're having a Super SmashFest! We're going to get a GameCube, 4 controllers, a copy of Smash brothers, and just duke it out until we're all satisfied. It's going to be a barrel of laughs and for anyone who hasn't played the game before, it's very easy to pick up and play.

    Tuesday 6th November:
    Throughout the day at various points, we'll be downstairs with a projector and a Wii, and everyone will be able to just step up and play Wii Sports until they lose fr just 50 cents, which we hope you'll promptly throw into the big charity bucket.
    Afterwards, at 18:00 in A322, there's going to be an introduction to Role Playing Games, for both veterans and new players, if you have always wanted to try playing an RPG such as Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire, Mage, or World Of Darkness, but always thought it "too nerdy" or never had a chance, well drop on by! It's an introductory session so you'll learn how to play, we'll be using a very easy to learn game system called World Of Darkness, no need for a wizards hat or an Orc costume, that's just silly.

    Wednesday 7th November:
    SHINKUU HADOUKEN! At 18:00 in A322, It's time to get your old memories back and play Street Fighter 2! We'll most likely be playing other arcade games to, so come along! Again, very easy to pick up and play. We'll be using Xbox controllers since people seem most comfortable with those.

    Thursday 8th November:
    THE BIG EVENT!

    This is it. We've got a room for 6 hours in Aungier Street, and damn, we're going to put it to good use. There'll be the following competitions:
    - Quake 3 Arena 1v1
    - Starcraft 1v1
    - Pro Evolution Soccer 1v1.

    A timetable for these events isn't done yet, but will be posted on the door of the room, and on the message board, on the day.
    YOU MUST POST IN THE GAMESOC THREAD LINKED HERE AND SAY YOU WANT TO ENTER ONE OF THE TOURNAMENTS, YOU CANNOT JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY AND EXPECT TO ENTER. THANK YOU.
    These events will also be open to spectators, the two laptops provided are both equal high spec (And you're welcome to bring your own if you so wish), and high quality gaming mice will be provided. There will be prizes for each competition. The laptops are facing away from the screen on which the game is projected for spectators. To sign up to this, just reply here with your real name, your alias, and what game(s) you wish to enter.

    Friday 9th November:
    This is the laid back, casual event. In A322, at 18:00, we'll be having a DS/PSP Gameathon. Bring your DS/PSP, and we'll Mario Kart / Tekken our hearts away.
