    Hey all,

My AV Amp has a HDMI connection on it.

I've heard that this is the best way to connect a PS3 to your amp.....but the PS3 only has 1 HDMI port which is used to connect to the TV....if that's the case how do I connect the PS3 to the amp via HDMI?

If your amp has hdmi inputs, it'll most likely have an output. So you'll just need 2 hdmi cables (one from the PS3 into the amp and 1 out from the amp to the tv) Once you've selected the input on the amp itll be outputting to the tv.

Odds are Maplins are charging an arm and a leg for something that can be picked up much more cheaply on eBay.

Agreed with Stekelly. Connect the PS3 into the amp and get another cable to connect the amp to the television. Just select the HDMI socket on the TV and adjust the amp to the correct input and happy days!

There is no need for a HDMI splitter.

    Hey lads,

Just to clarify....I need 2 HDMI cables....one for PS3 to amp and the other for the amp to the tv. Does this mean that the audio AND video will be going through the amp?

Indeed it does sir. HDMI is quite an amazing connection, it's more than up to the task of handling both the audio and the video.
