Well this could be for the benifit of the game, no MGS fan wants to see a crap unfinished version just for the sake of it being on time. Probably it just needs to get up to the standard its expect to be, possibly better. Who wants to see a crap MGS or a good MGS?

Aye, the extra 10 month wait for Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii was fairly annoying, but you can tell that they made the most of the time available to them.
Hopefully Konami can do the same thing and provide us with a seriously polished title that actually lives up to all this hype.

Exactly. Even if the game is ready in time, i can see Sony knocking it back to Q4 so they can shift it in a bundle.

I gladly welcome the wait if it means a perfect game. PES 2008 is a good example of what a rushed game is like.

i hear that this is the last game in the series so they want to make this an improvement on previous mgs games.

i personally think they cant really improve on mgs3.

They said MGS 2 & 3 were the last games in the series as well, so don't believe it until they can definatly guarantee this.

I think Kojima said it will be his last game in the series, but I can't see Konami killing their cash cow.

Again, he said that about MGS3 at the time, so I wouldn't be too sure just yet.

I'd like to see him work on other things though. The MGS games are brilliant but I know he's capable of coming up with some great ideas in other genres too.

you bet it!:Dkojima is really interested to do something on wii,read that somewhere when mgs4 was 1st annouced:D and he is not 'fully' directing the game this time compare to last few games,ya know?forget the guy name though,but sounds like he is leaving MGS series to other person hand...rumour...just rumour...

I haven't tried the original MGS3 on my PS3, but the Subsistence version works just fine.
