    'Wanted' Trailer

Released in April next year and based on the comic book (oh.. ummmm.. i mean "graphic novel") by Mark Millar.

Regards the film, is it me or has Angelina Jolie been playing the same role in most of her movies recently?! The mysterious attractive dangerous woman!

James McAvoy annoys the arse off me too.. with every appearance on screen, i wanna punch him in the head. Heard his performance in 'The Last King Of Scotland' is fantastic but don't think i could stomach watching him for 2 hours.

Looks like quite enjoyable mindless action fluff all the same..!

Only just caught the trailer there today, and some of it seems similar to the first Matrix film (dead-end job, mysterious stranger, etc..)

It's bizarre that McAvoy is in it - he seems out of place.....but im guessing thats the point.

I think you're mistaken. Thats a trailer for The Matrix IV.

I was working in a Irish bar in Wrigleyville Chicago during the summer. The street it was on was closed down for two days so that they could film this movie. So got 2days off then on the 3rd day we were open again but the alley way between the two streets that intersect where the bar was located was closed off because they were filming there. The bar was dead as was usual during the day when the cubs were out of town (if they werent those dates wouldent have been ok'd for filing) so I took the opportunity to go outside and give the hot-ass crew member directing the public away from the alley who i could see was seriously sweating buckets some ice-water. On hearing this one or two others came in and asked for a drink and later between 30&40 crew members spent the night drinking in there.

There were a good lot of Irish people in the crew and they had loads of stories to tell, especially to the Irish Barman with a media degree(me). Angelina was there momentarily (only outside talking to someone if im honest) but didnt hang around as Brad Pitt was in town with her and they apparently had aplace they frequented. Kind of want to see this movie now just cos of that

is it just me or does the trailer feel really slow? like there's loads of action shots going on but the freeman voice over is so slow its like dragging the whole thing to a stop. It just feels really sluggish.

Friend from college was staying in an apartment block just above the filming area and one of the lads kept on shouting down at the crew n' all....delaying the shoot...

Hmmm, I keep meaning to have a look at the graphic novel but I think I'll probably pass on the film. It looks to be another Bulletproof Monk, which seems a bit of wasted potential. Plus James McAvoy isn't as good as a few casting agents evidently think; he was ok in Atonement and very good in Last King of Scotland, but has only really proven his ability to play a cheeky cheery gobsh*te.

Having read the comic novel, and seen the clip, it looks like it's "based" on the character of the novel, loosely on the storyline, but very loosely.
it doesn't mention about there being no superheros, that they were all killed off, that the "bad guys" were in control of the world, etc

I'm sick and tired of Angelina's in your face sexy bullcrap teasing in every movie, without actually showing anything, tits or GTFO.

She is starting to annoy me.

Looks like a good action movie. I must admit to never having heard of James McAvoy though. He looks kinda ordinary in the trailer.

I know it's not meant to be taken seriously, but I just can't get past the bizarre / insane physics and bullet curving going on. Nevermind "jumping the shark", how about "curving the bullet" for action cinema gone too far? It's like they saw the Matrix, followed by Equilibrium & thought "hey! lets mix the two!"

Plus, Angelina Jolie ain't sexy. I know that's not a popular opinion, but her bug eyes, fat lips & stick-like figure just make her seem alien. Especially the freaky weight loss; I mean christ Angy, eat a snickers or something.

QFT.. been saying that for years!

As for the film.. the more I see of it, the more familiar and formulaic it all seems. Not too pushed on seeing it.. will rent it up on DVD probably but I'm betting it will be a big disappointment.

I remember when I saw the 1st trailer for this in the cinema a few months back and I just shrugged my shoulders. The whole "bullet-curving" bit was naff as fùck. I mean, I love mindless action movies but as long as they don't take themselves too seriously or do the whole "too cool for school" tone. These latest trailers just seem to ooze with "look how cool we are, we have Angelina in this movie playing the same generic mysterious character..."

James McAvoy just doesn't fit the action profile but I think that's the point. Hell, nobody thought Keanu Reeves would end up making fùck-loads of money and be an action hero at the same time, eh?

+ I hate the whole "running around with 2 machine guns firing each side of me while I'm not looking makes me look ùber-cool!" No, it doesn't. Dual guns only worked in Hard Boiled and The Matrix.
